We apologize to inform you we are going to have to postpone the ICS 40 Hour Immigration Training. Our intention is to hold this conference in the late spring and we will update this registration page after the holidays with specific dates. Should you have any questions, please contact Janara Walker, 614.259.5410.

Monday-Friday, January 13-17, 9am-5pm
Vineyard Columbus: 6000 Cooper Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081
Online Registration Deadline: Thursday, December 26

World Relief and Vineyard Columbus are offering a week-long course on the basics of immigration law for those who are interested in serving immigrants specifically with their legal immigration needs.

The training will be taught by attorneys and conducted using the curriculum of the Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC). This course will help to provide the necessary training component for individuals who wish to apply for accreditation from the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA). BIA accreditation allows non-attorneys working or volunteering at non-profit organizations to practice immigration law. The course will touch on all areas of immigration law and practice focusing on topics most relevant to those serving and representing low-income immigrants.

Additional requirements for applying for Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) recognition and accreditation will be discussed during the training week.

Due to the requirements of the accreditation application process, we recommend that only individuals with U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, or other long-term immigration status apply for this training.

For individuals at Vineyard Columbus, there will be opportunity to put your training into practice through our low-cost immigration legal clinic, Immigration Counseling Services.
Fees include lunch and light snacks each day. Participants are responsible for breakfast, dinner and all travel costs.

For Individuals Currently Working at Non-profit Organizations (additional documentation may be required) and All Other Non-Attorneys:
$550 (plus the cost of the two-book manual)
Private Attorneys:
$550 (plus the cost of the two-book manual)

Vineyard Columbus Members:

The two-book manual used for this course is "A Guide for Immigration Advocates" by the ILRC. The two-book manual alone costs $205 and the manual plus a CD version is $230.
